Rosa Rong Du
Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner
R. TCMP, R. Ac
Rosa is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner who brings a unique combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine and more than 30 years of experience in Western healthcare. Before entering Chinese medicine, she worked in cardiovascular and critical care in both China and Canada. This background gives her a practical understanding of conventional medical care while shaping the thoughtful, whole-person approach she brings to her patients today.
Rosa has a particular interest in women’s health, including menstrual concerns, perimenopause and menopause, fertility preparation, and pregnancy support. She also works with patients experiencing ongoing concerns such as fatigue, digestive changes, sleep difficulties, headaches, tension, and changes in mood or overall wellbeing. For patients already receiving medical care for diagnosed conditions, Rosa is comfortable reviewing their health history and working alongside their existing treatment plan.
Neurological care is another important part of Rosa’s clinical background. Growing up in a family with experience using scalp acupuncture, she was introduced to this approach through their work with patients recovering from stroke and living with neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease. Over the years, this family mentorship became part of her own clinical practice and continues to influence the way she approaches neurological and neuromuscular concerns.
Rosa’s approach begins with understanding the whole picture rather than focusing only on the symptom that brought someone into the clinic. She takes time to explore a patient’s health history, sleep, digestion, energy, emotional wellbeing, lifestyle, and other changes that may help identify a Traditional Chinese Medicine pattern. Depending on the individual, her treatment approach may include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, and tuina.
Her years in both Western healthcare and Traditional Chinese Medicine have shaped a practical and collaborative philosophy of care. Rosa understands that many patients come to Chinese medicine while already receiving care from physicians or other healthcare professionals. She values clear communication, patient education, and helping patients understand what she is observing, what she recommends, and what they can realistically expect from treatment.
Outside the clinic, Rosa enjoys gardening, cycling, spending time on trails, and visiting museums when she travels. Her curiosity about healthcare extends into her travels as well—she enjoys visiting local hospitals and clinics in different countries to learn how healthcare is delivered and how different communities approach patient care.
Rosa speaks English and Mandarin and enjoys working with patients from diverse backgrounds. Her goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized care that helps patients feel heard, understand their health more clearly, and take an active role in supporting their long-term wellbeing.
